Isono Kazuo

Isono Kazuo is a popular ramen restaurant that has a long queue especially during the evening. The restaurant is located in Sapporo’s busiest district, Susukino. They are famous for their Sapporo Black, a rich soy sauce based broth that has the right amount of saltiness with a pinch of garlic that adds a unique twist of flavor. As the restaurant is expected to be crowded all day long, it is best to visit when at the restaurant’s opening time.

This restaurant is pretty unique as they are known for a tsukemen dish where you have to dip the noodles in a soy sauce, the dish is called Shoyu Tsukemen. The soup is made of clear tonkotsu pork, dried fish broth and animal fat.
