Feel Magical at Kawachi Wisteria Garden in Fukuoka

Kawachi Fuji-en Wisteria Tunnel

When we talk about tunnels, you would imagine something dark and creepy. For some underground tunnels, you might be amazed because of its magnificent rock formation and its blue clear waters to dive into. Contrary to that, have you ever seen a colorful and fantastical tunnel filled with flowers? In Kitakyushu City in Fukuoka, you can find Kawachi Fujien Wisteria Garden, a private garden established in 1977. This garden has different attractions with Wisteria flowers all around, an 80m (263ft) long wisteria tunnel, a 220m (722ft) long wisteria tunnel, wisteria domes, and wisteria trellises. Wisteria tunnels became extremely popular after they were introduced on their official website in 2012 and since then, have become a popular tourist attraction for visitors from all over the world. However, the garden is not open all through the year. Kawachi Wisteria Garden is only open during the wisteria season which usually peaks around late April to early May and during the maple leaf season in autumn.

How to Get There?

The access going to Kawachi Wisteria Garden is not very convenient. It is better to access the garden by private car but you can access it by public transport as well from JR Yahata Station (15 minutes, 280 yen one way from Kokura Station). During the peak season, a shuttle bus runs twice hourly between Yahata Station to Kawachi Wisteria Garden. Just note that the shuttle bus may get affected by the traffic jams.

Where to Stay?

Fukuoka is a big place with a lot of places to stay for a long term basis. The problem is that a lot of accommodations are already taken or you may need to travel from one place to another in order to just find a place to stay. If ever you can find one online, you still need to travel in order to settle the paperwork you need in order to stay in an apartment on a long term basis. But it is easy to eliminate these problems with KaguAruoo.

With over 2,000 listings all over Japan, KaguAruoo offers something that others do not have, a way for the landlords and the tenants to communicate and process transactions in the most convenient and hassle-free way. You can communicate with the landlord through their in-app messaging so hiring a real estate agent to act as a bridge between you and the landlord is no longer needed. All transactions are also processed through the website such as the payment and the contract signing.

The website is also very foreigner-friendly as most of the landlords can also speak English and KaguAruoo itself has their own English Support Team. So if you are looking for an apartment to stay wherever in Japan, KaguAruoo is your place to go.
